Q.미국 영주권자로 한국에 입국하여 치료를 받고자 하는데 건강보험 혜택을 받으려면 어떻게 해야 하는지?

 □ 국내거소 신고 후 거소증을 발급받아 가입가능합니다.

ㅇ 출입국관리사무소에서 거소증 발급가능

※ 거소증 발급시 필요서류

- 여권, 주민등록 말소 등본 1부, 가족관계증명서 1부, 기본 증명서 1부, 영주권, 칼라사진(3*4) 2매, 접수비 1만원

□ 국내체류 3개월째 되는 날부터 의료보험 신청이 가능합니다.

ㅇ 3개월 체류기간 동안 출국을 해서는 안 되며, 만약 출국 시에는 재입국한 날부터 다시 3개월 기산됨.

□ 한국에 있는 직계가족이 지역건강보험 가입자인 경우, 피부양자로 등록이 가능하므로 이 경우 의료보험료를 따로 납부할 필요가 없습니다.

ㅇ 이 경우 거소증 상의 주소지와 직계가족의 주소지가 같아야 하며, 입국 후 3개월 체류조건은 동일하게 적용됨

ㅇ 가입시 거소증, 가족관계증명서, 여권, 직계가족과 거소증상의 주소지가 동일해야 함

□ 직계가족 중에서 직장건강보험 가입자가 있는 경우 3개월 체류조건 필요 없으며, 거소증 발급 즉시 가입 가능합니다.

ㅇ 단, 직장건강보험 가입자와 거소증의 주소지는 동일해야 함.

Q. I am a permanent resident of the U.S. I would like to receive medical treatment in Korea. Please let me know how to have health insurance.

 □ You can have health insurance after reporting your residence and thus obtaining the residence certificate.
 ㅇ The residence certificate can be issued by Immigration Office.
 ※ Required documents for the issue of the residence certificate
 - Passport, A certified copy of the cancelled residence register, A copy of family relation certificate, A copy of basic certificate, Permanent resident card, 2 color photographs(3*4), 10,000won for application charge

 □ You can apply for health insurance in three months of your residence in the country.
 ㅇLeaving Korea during the stay for three months is not allowed. If you have left, the number of days will be computed again from the date of reentry.

□ If you have a lineal family member who subscribes to the regional health insurance, you don’t need to subscribe to a separate health insurance because you can be registered as a dependent.
 ㅇ In this case, your address on the residence certificate has to be the same as that of your lineal family member. And the condition of stay for three months also equally applies.
 ㅇAddresses of the residence certificate, family relation certificate, passport and the linear family member have to be identical.

□If you have a lineal family member who subscribes to the workplace health insurance, you can have the health insurance as soon as you get the residence certificate without satisfying the requirement of stay for three months.
 ㅇ However, the address on your residence certificate has to be the same as that of the subscriber.
